The studio
The studio — Dimitri Cimarosto, Murano glass master specialized in lampwork
This website is the digital showcase of Studio Cimaro Glass, the workshop of glass master Dimitri Cimarosto in Murano, Venice. It was created to present and celebrate the art of Murano glass through a selection of unique lampwork pieces: submerged aquariums, spheres, compositions, pressacarte and sculptures in which fish, marine seabeds and gold leaf take shape within the incandescent material. It is intended for collectors, art lovers, interior designers and anyone wishing to approach the Murano glassmaking tradition and commission a bespoke piece. Every work shown is made entirely by hand by the master, in a dialogue between fire, gesture and precision. The site is curated and maintained directly by Dimitri Cimarosto, who since 2002 has carried forward the research begun alongside his father Mario Cimarosto, a master glassblower, evolving the techniques learned at the furnace toward a personal and contemporary language.
